“Updating of basic technical means is priority direction of development of the economy of automatic, telemechanics and communication of PJSC” Ukrzaliznytsya “, physical wear out of signaling and communication farms of regional branches reached 93.5%. Existing systems and devices are not only physically worn out, but also morally obsolete – most of them do not correspond modern requirements.
More than two dozen different microprocessor control and monitoring systems on the network of railways in Ukraine for foreign and domestic development and production have been put into permanent operation. However, almost all systems have a closed architecture and do not allow the operational staff to conduct preliminary and periodic checks of internal dependencies of the STS. The operating staff, as a rule, sees only the reaction of the system, which creates an “illusion of complexity” of the system as a whole, and of its maintenance, inspections, changes in applied software.
