Within the framework of the contract concluded with the Joint-Stock Company “Ukrainian Railway” LLC “Zheldoravtomatika” LLC started to provide services for post-warranty support and software administration of the software-hardware complex “MOC EC-EM” with integrated centralized auto-blocking of the “ABTC-EM” production OJSC “Radioavionika”: line points, servers, automated workplaces (hardware and software) on the Poltava – Yuzhnaya – Krasnograd section of the regional branch “Southern Railway”.
This equipment was put into operation in 2012 and requires post-warranty technical support by the manufacturer or an authorized manufacturer-company.
Based on the results of the work, the customer’s specialists will be offered measures and recommendations to improve the operation of the equipment.
Similar contracts for the maintenance of MOC devices are becoming a common practice of Zheldoravtomatyka LLC. Thanks to such works, the company’s specialists gain valuable experience from the life cycle of MOC systems and the peculiarities of their operation. This experience is used to improve diagnostic methods and maintenance principles in order to further reduce operating costs.
We consider it expedient to note the following.
The current picture in the field of automation and telecommunications of JSC “Ukrzaliznytsia” looks like this:
- the minimal number of microprocessor systems of railway automation with the absence of an opportunity to fully exploit them;
- deficit and outflow of qualified personnel;
- decrease in the level of skills and technical literacy of operational personnel.
Therefore, even despite the organization and implementation of post-warranty support, when developing and implementing modern MOC systems, the principle of complete autonomy of the railway automation object from the system developer, designer, equipment manufacturer and operating organization must be prioritized, similar to the procedure for implementing and operating relay systems of the today
The result of the implementation of any project should be a universal tool in the hands of the customer, which allows him to independently (or with the involvement of any professional contractor under the conditions of free competition) operate, maintain, develop and modernize microprocessor systems at all stages of the life cycle.
The use of microprocessor-based systems of railway automation and telemechanics (CJSC) with an open architecture based on the principles of ACS TP, which are adapted to the technology of railway transport, allows railwaymen to independently maintain the systems in accordance with the principles and order of maintenance of existing relay systems. For this, within the framework of the existing staff of employees of the signaling and communication industry, it is enough to form your own operational division.
The creation of application software (PPO) using the languages of the IEC (MEK) 61131-3 standard allows you to operate the railway automation and telemechanics systems developed by our company, staffed by specialists from the railway industry services. When putting the system into operation, the customer receives a complete package of technical documentation, including the PPS, which is displayed in an accessible graphic form and repeats the classical relay schemes of the SCB. The printed text of the PPS allows you to save the original application software and make changes in accordance with the procedure for making changes to the relay schemes of the SCB operating in railway transport.
Having such documents, the customer can form his own operational division, train personnel in the established educational centers together with higher specialized educational institutions, and independently maintain the systems. At the same time, to provide full service, not just by changing out-of-order modules, but by developing the facility, modernizing the technical and software.
Software engineers are not needed to make changes to PPP. Specialists of the industry with a higher railway education, who have completed training or advanced training courses at the Ukrainian State University of Railway Transport or in the training centers of OOO NPP Zheldoravtomatika will be able to cope with this work. In addition, such specialists have the opportunity to consolidate their knowledge directly at the facility during commissioning. These specialists are granted the right to make changes to the PPS, similar to the current operating procedure for relay systems (making changes to the copy of the service, distance, perimeter). To protect against unauthorized changes to the PPS of the operational personnel, the appropriate levels of access are provided:
- viewing and making changes;
- viewing;
- view ban
The list of persons who have the right to make changes to the PPS is determined by the management of the distance and approved by the management of the signaling and communication service. This principle, which makes the customer completely independent from the developer, applies to all types of railway automation and telemechanics systems: station, race, hot centralization, crossing signaling, DK, DC, etc.
This approach allows:
- preserve the classical principles of service when operating modern microprocessor systems of railway automation and telemechanics;
- reduce operating costs;
- save the funds and direct them to the modernization of morally and physically worn out technical means.
