Locomotive monitoring system

The locomotive monitoring system is designed to automate the management, control and accounting of movements and fuel consumption of locomotives at industrial enterprises.

The system allows you to monitor and control the condition of locomotives in real time and display their location on the plan with archiving of selected parameters and subsequent analysis.

The system will improve the safety of cargo transportation through additional monitoring of track occupancy.

The system can be integrated into microprocessor centralization and functionally expanded.

On-board equipment software provides:

  • receiving and processing information from GPS;
  • receiving and processing information from locomotive sensors (fuel level);
  • generation and transmission of information to the Internet via GPRS channel;
  • configuring the navigation module (entering the server IP address, configuring input/output channels, setting the speed and duty cycle of information transmission).

The dispatcher’s workstation software provides:

  • receiving information via the Internet from on-board navigation modules;
  • archiving navigation parameters and measurement results;
  • displaying a map of the enterprise’s railway tracks on the dispatcher’s monitor;
  • displaying the location of locomotives and forms on a map;
  • assignment of reporting forms;
  • generation of reports;
  • creation of an electronic map of railway tracks.

The economic effect of introducing a locomotive monitoring system consists of the following components:

  • preventing the theft of diesel fuel from locomotives in operation;
  • adoption of organizational and operational measures to ensure the rational use of each locomotive at individual production sites and routes;
  • reduction of fuel consumption through the introduction of an objective rationing system, automated accounting and control.
