The next station of the Kyiv metro, “Ippodrome”, is equipped with MPC systems produced by RWA.

The RWA company supplied, installed and put into operation a microprocessor centralization system at the Ippodrom station on the Kurenevsko-Krasnoarmeyskaya line of the Kyiv metro.

The RWA company took part in the construction of another metro station in Kyiv. “Hippodrome” became the 51st station of the Kyiv metro and the 8th station of the Kyiv subway, where RWA production systems were installed.

RWA specialists supplied and put into operation microprocessor systems that provide train traffic control: microprocessor centralization, two automatic workstations for station attendants and an electromechanical workplace.

The construction of the Ippodrom station took place in record time – the general contractor OJSC Kievmetrostroy began construction in the fall of 2011, and already on October 20, 2012, the Ippodrom received the first train. Metro construction workers worked around the clock, seven days a week, throughout the entire site. Accordingly, equipment suppliers maintained the set pace. In particular, RWA, thanks to well-established procedures for launching control systems and established serial production of equipment, carried out all installation and commissioning work in less than two months.

The official opening ceremony of the station took place on October 25, 2012.
